A Ca’del Ghetto is an apartment for rent for holidays recently restored in the quarter of Cannaregio, in the ancient Jewish Ghetto of Venice. The apartment is situated at few steps from the famous Strada Nova, where there is plenty of shops, boutiques and restaurants.
From Piazzale Roma (bus terminal and cars parking) through the new Calatrava Bridge it’s simply and rapid to arrive at the railways station Santa Lucia, and from there to reach in few minutes the A Ca’ del Ghetto apartment.
The disembarkment of the “vaporetto” on the Gran Canal the nearest is that of S.Marcuola, but are very close also those of S. Alvise and Le Guglie ( disembarkment of the public transport for the airport Marco Polo).
The Rialto Bridge and S. Marque Square are reachable in 20/30minutes walking ore by boat (vaporetto) from the disembarkment of S. Marcuola.
When on March 29th, 1516 the Government of the Serenissima Repubblica issued special laws, the first Ghetto of Europe was instituted. It was an area where Jews were forced to live and which they could not leave from sunset to dawn.
Situated on the second floor of a little tipic venetian palace, the apartment is composed by a long hall way where there are the 3 bedrooms (2 king-sized bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom), a habitably kitchen completely equipped, a dinig-room, a little living-room and 2 bathrooms.
The 2 king-sized bedrooms are furnished with antique furnitures, meanwhile the twin bedrooms is in modern style. In the little living-room, enlighted by two big windows, there are divans and armchairs in 19th century style.
One of the 2 bathrooms is equipped with shower and the other one with bathtub.
The apartment is equipped with televisor, washing machine, wringer, and independent heating.
